This is a nice, original steel plate engraving of the Battle of the Wilderness. Desperate fight on the Orange C.H. Plank Road, near Todd's Tavern, May 6th 1864; Battle of the Wilderness (5-7th May, 1864), the first part of a Union campaign to capture the Confederate capital of Richmond, Virginia, during the American Civil War
Measures 12" x 10" and image area measures 6.5" x 4"
There is some mild discoloration and some wear at edges, ring of moisture discoloration at upper-right edge of border. Image area very good. .
