Original Antique Engraving - Union Troops Cross the Great Kanawha
Title Reads:  "Bellaire, O. - Steamboats conveying troops and munitions of war for the Federal Forces on the Great Kanawha"
Description beneath the title explains that Bellaire is a town on the Ohio River three miles below Wheeling, Va.  It was a critical terminus of the Central Ohio Railroad and an important position for the rapid assembly and deployment of troops.
Full page illustration is in excellent condition.  No damages.  It was published in 'Leslie's Illustrated Famous Leaders and Battle Scenes of the Civil War'  There are two engraved illustrations on the back side.  1) General Butterfield's Headquarters and  2) A long, narrow but larger print of Confederate Forces advancing upon the Rappahannock Station.
