Original Antique Engraving - Confederate Cavalry - 1863
Title beneath image:  "The Confederate invasion of Maryland and Pennsylvania - The Confederate cavalry
crossing the Potomac, June 11th, 1863"
It was unknown by the Union Army just where Confederate Commander General Jenkins had planned his attack.  Was it to be Pittsburg, Harrisburg or even Philadelphia?  Great concern by the State Governor and the citizens who knew what was coming.
The print is a full page illustration from  "Frank Leslie's Illustrated  - Famous Leaders and Battle Scenes of the Civil War'  It is in excellent condition with a small old crease in the bottom right corner.  Two more engravings on the back side.  Smaller of the two is 'A view of the U.S. Gunboat
Mahaska
destroying a Confederate battery'.  The larger of the two is  'A view of the town of Falmouth, Va. - HQ of General Burnside'.  Both are in very good condition.  If you find them more interesting I'll be happy to email you a pic.
