    David Glasgow Farragut (b.1801 - d.1870) American officer of the United States Navy during the American Civil War. He was the first rear admiral, vice admiral, and
    admiral in the United States Navy. He commanded the naval forces of the Union Navy in the Battle of Mobile Bay.
